Traders in city’s New Market area Dhaka staged demonstration for the second day on Monday demanding permissions to keep shops open during the lockdown.
Shop owners and employees of Chandrima Super Market, New Market, Noor Mansion, Gawsia and some other markets took to the street and brought out procession.
They wanted to run their business following the health guideline as they could not recoup their loss es incurred during last lockdown.
Members of the law enforcement agencies have talks with the business leaders to settle the issue.
Additional police have been deployed in the area in the morning to avert any untoward incident.
On Sunday, traders in Dhaka locked in a clash with police and damaged a number of vehicles during demonstration protesting government decision to shut shopping complexes.
