The government has rearranged the office timing for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan from 9 am to 3:30 pm.
The decision was taken on Monday at the virtual cabinet meeting held with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.
Cabinet Secretary Khandkar Anwarul Islam briefed reporters about the cabinet meeting.
He said the Ramadan timing will be applicable for all government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous institutions.
There will be a 15-minute break from 1:15 pm to 1:30 pm for Zohr prayers.
The weekly holidays will be as usual on Friday and Saturday.
This year, the Holy month of Ramadan is expected to begin on April 14 subject to the sighting of the new moon.
