The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has given a nod to resume flights on all domestic routes except Cox’s Bazar.
CAAB Chairman Air Vice Marshal M Mafidur Rahman confirmed this on Tuesday (April 20).
He said, “We have allowed flights from Wednesday (April 21) on a limited scale. Separate directives will be issued on how many flights will operate on which route per day.”
Mentionable, the government announced a nationwide lockdown from April 5 as the number of coronavirus infection is on the rise. Since that day, flights on domestic routes have been suspended. Due to the all-out lockdown, flights on international routes were also suspended from April 14.
