Another case was filed under the Digital Security Act (DSA) against Nurul Haque Nur, former vice-president of Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU), for allegedly hurting religious sentiment in Rajshahi.
Jubo League leader Tourid Al Masud Rony filed the case against Nur with Boalia Model police station around 11:30am on Wednesday (April 21).
Boalia police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nibaran Chandra Barman confirmed the filing of the case against Nur.
Jubo League leader Rony alleged that Nur had hurt religious values and sentiments of many religious leaders and activists in Bangladesh and tried to destroy communal harmony through offensive and false information, via Facebook live.
On Tuesday, Swechchhasebak League leader Aziz Misir filed a case against him in Katwali police station of Chattogtam.
Earlier on Monday afternoon, Mahanagar Chhatra League leader Kishore Jahan Sourav filed a case under the Digital Security Act in Sylhet on the same charge.
There were two more cases filed against Nur in Dhaka on Sunday.
