The government has allowed to ply public transports inside cities and district towns following health rules from tomorrow (6 May).
This instruction has been included in a gazette notification issued on Wednesday noon.
The government has issued the gazette notification, extending the ongoing restrictions till May 16 in a bid to contain the spread of deadly coronavirus (Covid-19).
According to the gazette notification, the inter-district bus service will remain suspended. But the public transports will be allowed to ply inside cities and district towns following health rules from 6 May. Besides, bus, train services will remain suspended.
After the gazette notification, Dhaka Sarak Paribahan Malik Samity has sent a press release to media houses in this regard.
Secretary General of Dhaka Sarak Paribahan Malik Samity Khandakar Enayet Ullah said public transports will ply inside cities and district towns following health rules from Thursday. All transport leaders and workers have been instructed in this regard.
