A fire broke out at a chemical godown and a textile mill at Konabari BSCIC Industrial Area under Gazipur City Corporation on Thursday noon.
On information, seven units of fire service rushed to the spot and are trying to douse the fire.
The fire started at 12.15pm at the chemical godown.
Kaliakoir Fire Service official Saiful Islam said about 1500 labourers were working when the fire broke out at Life Textile Mills.
No news of casualties was found immediately, he said.
