Mirza Abbas, a member of the BNP Standing Committee and a former minister, was admitted to the CCU (Cardiac/Coronary Care Unit) in Evercare Hospital in the capital after suffering chest pain.
Confirming the matter, BNP health secretary Dr. Rafiqul Islam said Mirza Abbas is undergoing treatment under the care of Dr. Shahabuddin Talukdar, a cardiac specialist at Evercare (Apollo) Hospital.
He was taken to the hospital at night as he felt severe chest pain while staying at his home in Shahjahanpur. There the doctors quickly performed some tests and gave some necessary medicines. Mirza Abbas is currently in good health, Dr. Rafiqul Islam added.
