BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has been diagnosed with liver cirrhosis.
A medical board formed for Khaleda Zia, now undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital with multiple complications, revealed the information on Sunday night (Nov 28).
Chief of the medical board Professor Dr FM Siddiqui said there is no technology in Indian subcontinent at the moment for the treatment of BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. All of these technologies are possible in the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany.
He also said that there is no treatment in the country to stop bleeding. It is now only now possible out of the country.
According to him, Khaleda Zia is being given the highest possible treatment.
The doctor further said her hemoglobin has dropped, there is blood in her vomit. Her situation is stable right now, but she is in a very vulnerable state.
