Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder has said rice will be imported from abroad in a bid to keep the rice market stable.
The minister said this in responding to questions of journalists at the Secretariat on Monday (June 6).
“A meeting has decided to import rice in private sector to keep the market stable. A summary with the resolution of the meeting will be sent to the Prime Minister soon and the next course of action will be decided”, he said.
