Covid-19 infections rising for flouting health rules

Covid-19 infections have been rising every day since last week for not complying with health guidelines. In a span of last one week, the rate of infections rose above six percent which came down to one percent earlier, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Meanwhile, the National Technical Advisory Committee (NTAC) on Covid-19 in a press release issued on Wednesday (June 15) advised the hospital authorities to keep beds and intensive care units (ICUs) ready to address the pressure of Covid-19 infections.

In recent times, the country is witnessing a surge in Covid-19 infection. In this situation, a directive has been given to keep hospital beds and ICUs ready in order to ensure proper treatment for Covid-19 patients, the release said.

People have been asked to mandatorily wear face masks whenever they are outside their homes, apply ‘no mask no service’ policy, maintain social distance and avoid public gatherings as coronavirus cases are increasing across the country, it added.
