This year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations has been postponed due to the worsening flood situation.
Impact of it can be seen on HSC exams. Because, at least two months gap is required between SSC and HSC exams. So, the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) and equivalent exams scheduled for August 22 is likely to be postponed.
Tapan Kumar Sarkar, Chairman of Dhaka Education Board and Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee hinted this in a press conference on Tuesday (June 21).
In reply to a question regarding the SSC examinations, he said that the issue depends on the flood situation. If the situation improves then we are ready to take SSC examination within one week notice.
Wishing anonymity, a top official of Dhaka Board said, there is no possibility to start SSC exams before the Eid-ul-Azha vacation. As the SSC examination has been postponed, its effect would be seen on the HSC examination.
Because at least two-month break is required between the two public examinations. In that context, the HSC exams might be postponed, the official added.
