Bangladesh fixes charge for Malaysia migration

Bangladesh expatriate welfare and overseas employment ministry has fixed the charge for Bangladesh part for sending workers to Malaysia.

Expat Minister Imran Ahmad on Wednesday (July 6), said, “A worker has to pay Tk 78, 990 which covers all costs in Bangladesh.”

Also, there would be no expense in the destination country as employers will bear all costs, he added.

The Minister told this to the reporters at his office of the ministry.

Previously, Malaysia sent a message to Bangladesh with a condition to send the workers to the country by their 25 agencies. However, Dhaka refused to accept the condition and handed over the list of more than 1,000 recruiting agencies registered in the return message to Malaysia.
