
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that Bangladesh Awami League is an organization of the people and it will work for the masses. It is our only pledge.
The premier said this while addressing her partymen at Ganabhaban on the occasion of her 43rd homecoming day on Wednesday (May 17).
She said the AL is the party which has earned people’s confidence in voting rights with introducing transparent ballot boxes and preparing a voter list with photographs.
On the contrary, the BNP-Jamaat alliance had prepared the voter list with 1.23 crore fake votes aimed at manipulating the election.
“We will always stand beside the masses to change their fates. We will keep continuing our work for the as we have come to power by winning the trust and confidence,” she said.
“We will bring smiles on the faces of the distressed people and build ‘Sonar Bangla’ as dreamt by the Father of the Nation,” she said.
Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader, advisory council member Ami Hossain Amu, presidium member Matia Chowdhury, Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, Abdur Razzak, Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Mostafa Jalal Mahiuddin, Kamrul Islam, joint general secretary Hasan Mahmud, Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif and others attended the function.
