Jamuna water level starts receding

The water level of the Jamuna river has started receding after 10 days. As a result, the people on the banks of the Jamuna are now out of the danger of flood.

However, the situation in the low-lying areas has not improved yet. Water Development Board said that it will take some time to go down completely.

On Friday (August 18), the water level of the Jamuna river at Sirajganj hard point was recorded at 12.67 meters. In 24 hours, 4 cm went down.
