Midhili Cyclone Nears Bangladesh: Periphery Expected to Make Landfall by Noon

The cyclonic storm Midhili over the northwest Bay and adjoining area moved north-northeastwards over the same area and the periphery of the weather system may start crossing the Bangladesh coast by noon Friday.

In a special weather bulletin, the Met office said the cyclone might cross Mongla-Payra coast near Khepupara by this evening.

Meanwhile, maritime ports of Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist Danger Signal 7, while Chattogram and Coxs’ Bazar ports have been asked to hoist Danger Signal 6
