Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has claimed that BNP is opposing India in the old Pakistani style without getting political issues.
He said these things during the Iftar and Eid distribution ceremony at the Dhaka District Awami League office in Tezgaon on Saturday (March 23) morning.
Awami League General Secretary said that I have heard the propaganda from the Pakistan period, when there is no political issue, only one issue is brought against Awami League. Earlier it was brought against Bangabandhu and now it is brought against Sheikh Hasina, that is the issue of anti India.
People of Bangladesh have won Sheikh Hasina with more than 41% votes, said Obaidul Quader, which many developed countries cannot do. Even then they will say that India has brought it. Where is India? People of our country have voted. They didn’t vote for us, they stood by us to prevent our vote being rigged.
Commenting that BNP organizes Iftar parties and Awami League distributes Iftar items, the bridge minister said, ‘They hold Iftar eating parties and we hold Iftar giving parties. This is the difference between BNP and Awami League.
Highlighting India’s support during the elections, Obaidul Quader said that when foreigners conspired to disrupt the elections, India was on their side. The friendly countries including India, who did not elect us by voting, stood by us to resist the conspiracies of vote manipulation.
Regarding the price of raw materials, the bridge minister said that the prices of some products have started to decrease. The prices will come down further and become affordable for the common man.
At this time, Obaidul Quader called to spread this program of distribution of Iftar and Eid items across the country.
