10 lakh Tk bribe offer to EB vice chancellor, GD at police station

Islami University (EB) vice-chancellor Prof. A message has been sent to Sheikh Abdus Salam. The message was sent to the Vice Chancellor’s personal WhatsApp number on Tuesday.

Acting Registrar of the University HM Ali Hasan filed a general diary at the EB Police Station in fear of defamation and to take action. Officer-in-charge (OC) of the police station. Mamun Rahman confirmed the diary.

Recruitment examination for the post of computer operator and computer typist will be held in two departments of the university on Wednesday. The incident of offering bribe on the day before the recruitment exam has created a sensation in the university.
According to the general diary, a girl named Mithi sent a message to the vice-chancellor’s mobile phone at around 11:00 on Tuesday, requesting him to give a job to the vice-chancellor for Tk 10 lakh. From that number the girl insisted on talking to the vice chancellor on the phone. If the vice chancellor doesn’t want to talk, send a message. Disclosing the matter on social media will defame the Vice-Chancellor. In this situation, it is absolutely necessary to keep the matter in the general diary for the future.

Acting registrar HM Ali Hasan said, someone can do it to frame the VC sir or indeed any job aspirant can do it. If you look at the list of job seekers, you can understand whether there is anyone with this name. GD has been done at the police station as per instructions.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Sheikh Abdus Salam said, I cut off calls in the morning to talk about work. Then he sent a message – ‘Take 10 lakh taka to eat sweets. I will not tell anyone. Now I see that message has been deleted. I think it was a fake conspiracy. I have GD and asked the police administration to look into the matter quickly.

When trying to contact the accused woman’s mobile phone, it was found to be switched off.
