22 children and teenagers have won various prizes including bicycles by praying in congregation in the mosque for 40 consecutive days in Feni.
On Friday (March 29), they were awarded in the presence of worshipers after Friday prayers at Bogadana Jame Mosque in Sonagazi Upazila, Feni. Earlier, the mosque committee had announced the prize for the children and teenagers to go to the mosque.
Those concerned said that it was mandatory to register the names of the children and teenagers who participated in the competition and collect the signature of the imam after regular prayers.
Dr. Bagdana Jame Mosque Committee Secretary. MA Yusuf said, this arrangement has been made to encourage children and teenagers to pray. We have said that if 10-year-old children to 18-year-old teenagers offer 40 days of five-time prayers with the congregation, then each of them will be given a bicycle. Encouraged by this announcement, the children and teenagers of the area started praying in the mosque.
The parents praised the initiative and said that this activity has made the children interested in prayer. We have been noticing for some days that children and teenagers are praying regularly.
