An oil lorry overturned in the early morning and there was a terrible fire in 5 cars

A speeding oil lorry overturned on the empty highway in Savar’s Hemayetpur early Tuesday morning. It caught fire in no time. Four trucks and a private car were burnt in this terrible fire. There is heavy traffic jam on both sides of the roads. Panic spread around. After 2 hours of efforts, the fire was brought under control.

It is known that four trucks and a private car were burnt due to the overturned oil tanker fire in Hemayetpur of Savar, Dhaka.

These include four trucks and a private car. One person was killed and three others were injured in the incident.

The incident took place on Tuesday (April 2) in the early hours of Hemayetpur’s Jordpool area. The fire service personnel joined the rescue operation after receiving the news. After the incident, the Dhaka-Aricha highway was closed for traffic for about two hours. The name of the deceased is Iqbal Hossain. The identity was not immediately known.

It is known that at 5:35 in the morning, an oil lorry lost control and hit the island, causing the lorry to catch fire. Traffic on the road was stopped at this time. Four trucks and a private car stuck behind the lorry caught fire in no time. On receiving information, an ambulance and two units of Savar Fire Service and Civil Defense reached the spot and rescued four people in a burning condition. Later, the burn victims were sent to Sheikh Hasina Burn Institute in the capital.

The station officer of Savar Fire Service Nurul Islam said that the fire has been brought under control. The identity of the injured is yet to be confirmed.

OC Shah Zaman of Savar Model Police Station said that the Dhaka-Aricha highway was closed for about two hours after the incident. Traffic is moving now.
