Sixth class student commits suicide due to mother’s nagging

A student named Ayesha Ali (12) committed suicide in Jantabagh area of Kadmatoli police station of the capital. According to the parents, he hanged himself because of being scolded for being busy on the mobile phone.

On Sunday (March 31) around 1.30 pm, he was rescued unconscious and brought to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.

Ayesha was a sixth standard student of Sherebangla Ideal School.
He lived with his parents at Janata Bagh in Kadamtali. He was the eldest of one brother and one sister.

The deceased’s father, Barkat Ali, said that he was busy with his mobile phone before Iftar on Saturday. Then his mother scolded him and asked him to help in preparing iftar.

After that, he twisted the veil with the grill in the bathroom and hanged himself with a noose. Later we informed the police. After that, with the help of the police, she was rescued and taken to Dhaka Medical, the doctor on duty said that my daughter is no longer alive.

Bachchu Mia, the inspector in charge of police camp at DMK Hospital, said that he has been kept in the hospital’s emergency department morgue. The concerned police station is aware of the matter.
