A mobile sari-lungi haat has been organized for hundreds of destitute parents in Kurigram. And this hut is organized by a local volunteer organization Fight Until Light (Ful). This organization sells a saree for 8 taka, a lungi for 8 taka and a piece of blouse for 2 taka in this mobile market. The organization sold these sarees and lungis at a nominal price at Kumarpur Dakhil Ulum Madrasa ground of Bhogdanga Union of Sadar Upazila around eleven o’clock on Friday morning. Bhogdanga UP Chairman Md Saidur Rahman, UP Member Hamidul Islam, Health Assistant Ataur Rahman and Health Worker Lelin etc. were present at this time.
Bhogdanga UP Chairman Saidur Rahman said, Flower NGO has been working with health, education and helpless parents in the district for a long time. I applaud this initiative of Flower today. Abdul Quader, the executive director of Fight Until Light Full, said that social organizations in different upazilas of this district have been working for education, health and social development among the people of villages and remote areas for more than a century. We want to change the mentality of people by giving gifts in return not relief. So we are making arrangements to sell sarees and lungis to the helpless parents for only 8 rupees.
