Ambulance-bus collision with patient in Phulbari, 1 killed

A young man named Ehsan Hossain, the driver of the ambulance, was killed in a collision between an ambulance and a Dhaka-bound vehicle at Phulbari on the Dinajpur-Gobindganj highway. Seven passengers of the ambulance including the patient were seriously injured in this incident. The accident happened in front of the gate of Gupta Plywood in Rajarampur area of ​​Phulbari upazila on Dinajpur-Gobindganj highway around 10:30 am on Tuesday.

The deceased ambulance driver Ehsan Hossain (32) is the son of Harez Ali of Chandipur village of Hakimpur upazila.

According to police and locals, a coach was going from Dinajpur to Dhaka on the Dinajpur-Gobindganj highway at 10:30 am on Tuesday. On the way to Rajarampur area of ​​Phulbari, there was a collision with a private ambulance from Hakimpur. At that time, the front part of the ambulance got twisted and the driver of the ambulance died on the spot. Seven passengers including the patient in the ambulance were seriously injured. Locals rescued the injured and took them to Upazila Health Complex. If the condition is serious, they are sent to Dinajpur M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital for better treatment.
The officer-in-charge (OC) of Phulbari police station Mostafizar Rahman confirmed the truth of the incident and said that the ambulance was recovered and brought to the police station.
