Action to be taken if the order prohibits the departure of the accused in corruption: IGP

Actions will be taken as per the law if there are instructions to ban the foreign travel of those accused of corruption. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun said that the police do what they do according to the law.
The IGP said this in response to a question from journalists at the end of the rally organized on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the police’s Dhaka Range at Segunbagicha in the capital on Monday.

The news is being published in the media about the corruption of officials of various government departments. After that, the people accused of corruption are fleeing the country. When asked about this, the IGP said, “Whatever the police do, they follow the law.” But the police cannot stop anyone at any time. For this, we have to go through the legal process.

Congratulating Dhaka Range on the occasion of its foundation anniversary, the IGP said, “I hope that the Dhaka Range Police, who fired the first bullet in the Great War of Independence, will fulfill their duty in the service of the country with devotion.”

Earlier, members of Dhaka Range Police participated in the rally.
