The first meeting of the Cabinet in the new financial year

The first and regular meeting of the Cabinet in the new financial year was held at the Prime Minister’s Office. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the first meeting of the Cabinet in the new fiscal year at the Prime Minister’s Office on Monday (July 1).

At the beginning of the meeting, Housing and Public Works Minister Rahm Muktadir handed over the certificate of appreciation given by the mayor of Nagasaki to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for setting up a peace pillar at the Nagasaki Peace Park in Japan.

At the same time, Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak handed over the Champion Award received by the Office of International Telecommunication in Geneva, Switzerland, to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for special contribution to the information technology sector.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that ministries and departments should work with care and transparency in implementing the budget of the new financial year (2024-25). At the same time, emphasis should be placed on increasing exports to different countries. He also asked to ensure that no concession is given in the quality of the product as per the export policy.

The Prime Minister gave these instructions in the cabinet meeting on Monday (July 1).

Later, the Cabinet Secretary briefed the Secretariat about the Cabinet meeting.
