“No one can be transferred through political lobbying”

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that no one can be transferred due to political lobbying.

He said this on Sunday (July 7) at the Secretariat of Road Transport and Highways Department’s officials and employees’ integrity award ceremony.

In return, the transfer of officials was going on. I believe that is largely closed. But there are many misdemeanors in different places. There are ghosts like brokers in Sarsh. There is a need for any project in the public interest. It must be implemented.

Awami League General Secretary commented that if they are honest, there will be less chance of corruption. If ministers, secretaries and officials are honest, there will be no chance of corruption. Corruption is now spreading at a reckless pace. But caught much later. The price to pay for corruption is really sad and unfortunate for us. We do not want a repeat of the Sri Lankan incident under any circumstances.

The bridge minister said that 1 thousand 835 crore rupees have been saved in Padma Bridge. 1100 crores have been saved in three bridges including Meghna Gomti. To those who talk about mega corruption in mega projects, I want to say that I have saved 1835 crore rupees in Padma Bridge. We have saved 1100 crore rupees on three bridges including Meghna Gomti. The government does not do mega corruption, it saves mega.

Obaidul Quader said, “We are closely monitoring the students’ movement on quota and the university teachers’ movement on the pension scheme. I believe it will be resolved in time.
