he members of traffic department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police are providing services to the people of Dhaka city in intense heat. Even in this summer, the policemen of DMP’s traffic department are standing under the open sky to clear the traffic jam and make the movement of people unhindered.
Traffic members standing in the sun for long periods of time suffer from dehydration, headaches and physical weakness along with heatstroke. DMP Commissioner Habibur Rahman has taken an effective initiative to provide relief to all traffic policemen on duty in intense heat. Pure food water and food saline are being provided to the policemen of 8 traffic divisions of DMP.
On Thursday (April 18) these materials were distributed among the policemen in charge of the traffic department. This activity will continue as long as this intense heat wave lasts.
Additional Deputy Police Commissioner of Traffic Ramna Division. Sohail Rana said that it is really difficult to do duty on the road in this unbearable heat. So the commissioner sir has arranged clean water and food saline for the traffic policemen, for that we are grateful to you sir. This initiative of sir will help the traffic members to perform their duty even in the heat.
